WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? “Vlad the Impaler & Others” ? It means what it says: That Vlad isn’t the only sadistic monster who has impaled his enemies, as well as innocent passers-by, with big, long telephone-pole-sized wooden stakes. Reminds me of a Hungarian restaurant on Bloor Street in Toronto that really should be having no business dealing with VAMPIRE-LORE and LIVING DEAD dishes, but it’s most popular entree is the “TRANSYLVANIAN PLATTER” in which sausages and various cuts of meat are piled on top of each other and served with a STAKE STICKING THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF ALL OF THEM! (See? You don’t have to go to Europe to enjoy a nice juicy stake. You can get lots more of this kind of offal if you just shell-out the three bucks and get this trend-setting, horror-slaking, gut-busting bonanza of film and book reviews. It consists of MORE than thirty-nine movie and book reviews. It includes the author’s sarcastic and progressive humor, as he applies it like a sticky substance to classics, little-known thrillers and chillers, new comers and popular directors, (directors will stand-put for anything so long as their names are mentioned!), and goes from straight horror and sci-fi to dabbling in the world of the occult. And there’s a big occult world out there to dabble in, too. There is a nice selection of recent films, as well, and some quirky books. You know I wouldn’t put books in an ebook about films unless the books are head-scratching, tongue-depressing, pleas for self-medication on every page. The sooner you take this e-book off my hands, the sooner I can get some sleep! It’s Just $3.00
