Hi, here are some new arrivals of used & rare books, including SHEET MUSIC and MUSIC BOOKS from the 1920’s to the 1970’s. I don’t think I saw any sheet music or music books dated after 1975 or so except for two Ozzy Osbourne books and Satriani’s “Surfing with the Aliens”. Some of the old ones are illustrated with those wonderful cartoon-like images that I know a lot of us remember from our childhoods as we sat in front of the piano.
Look! Below! An interesting collection of MINIATURE books… 23 volumes in the “LITTLE LEATHER LIBRARY” series have just arrived and been catalogued!
There are also three really cute little ephemeral paperbacks about DOLLS, doll-collecting, and making certain character-dolls. Several of these involve the Ozarks.
Other than that, it’s a miscellany. I wanted to get something about these books on my site, with more to come, including some editing. I will drop-in some cover photos as soon as I can get around to it! There are more books coming in than I can quickly alphabetize and illustrate for my “Ed’s List — Books” page. (See it on this same site!) My new store is certainly keeping me busy! READINGS * BOOKS * ART * COLLECTIBLES * RECORD ALBUMS. Wow! If you’re in Tucson, please come-on by! 3255 E. Grant Rd., north side, between Country Club and Dodge. Call for days & hours. (520) 409-0370.
I am not allowing the book and art business to interfere with Readings and consultations, which is what I’ve done for many years. I’M DISCOUNTING BOOKS FOR ANYONE WHO HAS A READING WITH ME OR ONE OF MY OTHER FINE PSYCHICS, HERE in the next TWO Weeks … Choose from: Jim Hecker —- Alyzabeth Cornwall —or— Vanessa Bracamonte. … or myself: ——Ed

At some point computer texts like these relating to software and hardware systems of previous decades will be considered even more collectible than they are already. Price databases already show some of these books are becoming valuable.

Nice Collection of: “LITTLE LEATHER LIBRARY” Books from circa 1921–1924. All books say: “Little Leather Library / Redcroft Edition” in the middle of the back cover in raised (embossed) letters on patterned leather. Some booksellers term this set SOFTCOVER / WRAPS, others HARD COVER. Leather and leatherette is usually termed HARDCOVER, but that is debatable in this set, as the leather or leatherette is quite pliable. All the books in this collection have uniform wear which includes old damp-stains to title page and usually the back page, stains not extending more than a page or two into he body of the work. This is evidently the usual state of this series of books — though why is a bit of a mystery! Some rough edges, some tiny tears and creases are typical on a few of the pages in each volume. The paper is brittle. These are treasures that should be put away and not handled. In only two cases that I noticed, have pages become loose. Covers are sound, and the embossed titles and authors are readable; the title also appears embossed (raised) on the spine. I believe from various evidence and personal intuition that the Poe, Yeats, Moore, Shaw, Browning, Kipling, Tennyson and Gilbert titles to be more recent, unusual in various ways, and collectible than the older authors also represented. Until someone buys one or more individual titles, I will sell the LOT of 23 books (two of which are 2-volume sets), for $150.00… a big savings!
